Farming, Food and Biomass Towards Circular Nutrient Management

Agriculture & Bio-based Industries Multi-Actor Workshop

On 25 March 2026, the Irish Regional Cluster of NPower will host an in-person Multi-Actor workshop at MTU Kerry, focused on circular nutrient management across agriculture, food processing, biomass and bio-based industries.

This session will showcase Best Management Practices (BMPs) collected in the NPower database and invite stakeholders to reflect on their applicability in Ireland. Participants will be encouraged to share additional practices currently being implemented and explore opportunities to strengthen nutrient redistribution and biomass valorisation at local level.

The workshop will bring together practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and community representatives working across agriculture, food, beverages, forestry, and bio-based sectors. A visit to the MTU Green Biorefinery pilot plant facilities will be included for in-person participants.

The meeting forms part of the Irish Multi-Actor Transition process under NPower, supporting collaborative solutions for circular nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) management.

Participation is open to stakeholders interested in sustainable agriculture, biomass processing and circular nutrient systems.
